I'm Tom, I started my eBay business in a small way 5 years ago, but it's only in the last 12 months I've been building it up alongside my regular day job. I've found eBay to be both a liberating and frustrating force, depending on the mood I'm in, the issues of the day and sales of the week. However, overall, it does provide an amazing platform to bring together buyers and sellers that gives small business owners like me a chance to talk to a huge amount of people and if I get my product mix right, and my pricing right, then I have every bit as good a chance as the next guy to make a sale!
