The primary eBay fee is a percentage of the total selling price, called the "Final Value Fee," or FVF. Other fees may be added for special listing details and the FVF may be lower for eBay Store subscribers.
The total average percentage eBay will take is 12.35% (10% FVF + 2.35% eBay Managed Payments fee). Final Value Fees can change based the category of your listing, and if you are an eBay Store subscriber.
You can lower eBay fees by becoming a Basic eBay Store subscriber, not listing more items than your monthly free limit. Keep in mind that eBay Managed Payment fees will also add to the total fees from eBay.
For most transactions, PayPal fees are 2.9% of the transaction price, plus a $0.30 fixed fee, where eBay Managed Payment fees are 2.35% plus $0.30
If your monthly insertion fees cost more than a store subscription, it is worth it. On top of the free monthly insertion fees, you will also have lower Final Value Fees if you subscribe to at least a Basic Store.

eBay’s seller fees are calculated with many variables, such as item cost, eBay store subscription, listing type, upgrades etc. eBay selling fees vary based on the category that your item is listed in. (eBay category fees include insertion fees and a fee for the price your item sells for.)
Moreover, your seller status can also have an impact on the price of your fees. For example, Top Rated Sellers with a Top Rated Seller Plus listing will receive 10% off their Final Value Fee. Underperforming Sellers, however, have an additional 4% added to the final value selling fee.
You can also include listing upgrades to market your eBay listings and stand out in search results. Listing upgrades include subtitles, bold text, image gallery & more. These upgrade fees increase in cost when your item is priced at more than $150. eBay sellers have the additional option list items in a second category for separate insertion and final value fee.
Not to mention, you can also use eBay Promotion to advertise your listing is eBay search results as 'sponsored.' This also promotes your item in other places across eBay's advertising network.
